Kotlarczyk, Teresa

(1955-)

   Director of documentary and narrative films and television series. Graduate of the Katowice Film and Television School, Kotlarczyk is the author of The Reformatory (Zakład, 1990), an intriguing film dealing with the problem of manipulation and, on a different level, with moral questions involved in filmmaking. Her next film, Visit Me in My Dream (Odwiedź mnie we śnie, 1996), is the Polish equivalent of Ghost (1990). Kotlarczyk's recent film The Primate: Three Years out of the Millennium (Prymas. Trzy lata z tysiąclecia, 2000) tells the story of the internment of the Polish Catholic primate Stefan Wyszyński by the Communist authorities during the Stalinist period.
